I`m not sure this is good news for e.Digital. I hope I`m wrong but I was told a while ago that Wencor was unhappy that they had to pay e.Digital royalties for manufacturing and engineering services. When they bought APS from Boyer they didn`t realize that e.Digital owned the tech inside the box... all they really bought was the box. They probably would have liked to buy e.Digital but found it too expensive, so decided to buy IMS. I`m hoping they plan on integrating our tech with IMS... but I think they would like to own everything. Buying IMS gives them that capability. They own the name digEplayer as well as the box so I`m not sure where that product will end up in the scheme of things. It`s possible e.Digital will sell the platform to another entity that will market to the airlines and call it something else entirely. I don`t really know what all this means, but why would Wencor buy IMS if they were happy with e.Digital?
