There are always similarities between operating systems, file systems, etc., but I just don’t see anything pointing to e.Digital’s involvement here. What I understand of "open source" is that it comes from a collaborative effort and is essentially free for use by anyone. A company could build and market a product based on open source code, wouldn't have to license the code itself, and could always modify it themselves as needed. I suppose if they were to use our patented methods somehow in their open source design, we might be able to sue them later on the "back-end"? But this doesn’t appear to be a "front-end" business opportunity for us where we'd be able to collect royalties... unless we were further involved in the design of a specific product and the customization of that product where we might exist on top of or beside MeeGo for example. Our part would then be proprietary.

There are many possibilities, but I don't think e.Digital is "inside" MeeGo.
