What the new group seems to signal is a change of course and commitment to being a tech innovator/patent house. This further focuses on that which EDIG is all about. This is likely driven by Nunally.

As DM confirms that with a growing settlement actions, EDIG will have a division dedicated to more innovation, starting with Nunally's new technologies to be announced prior to the March annual meeting.

This is in contrast to what this company appears to be now, an IFE provider with a handful of patents. Who are they really? They are creating a new identity and will kick it off with this new website and new technology news.

Frankly, imo, they should sell off the IFE unit to MEZZO or a competitor and put all their energy into being a lean patent house with the emphasis on IP development.

That makes them than much more attractive as an investment or takeover candidate, and as settlements come in, the need for IFE service and sale revenues will seem more of a drag than an asset.
