You have a great point...

RP has been running the company know as EDIG for 22 years. He wants his chance to put some money in the bank, so he "Leaves" the company to accomplish that within 90 days.

Now, if he stayed with the company it is going to look funny. But, mark my words, he will be back as head of the new DIVSION created, in in short order will be running the company...
