I haven't read through all the corporate structure information that has been posted lately, but I doubt that any conspiracies are brewing. The thought that RP's motivation for leaving was to be in a position a short way down the road to be able to sell some of his shares at will seems logical. He has earned them. The new division may have been created to have something to say in a PR. That, and maybe Mr. Nunnally wanted to officially head up something R&D wise, but not undertake overall corporate duties. Mr. Falk's presidential hat has been on and off before. I imagine the board is in search mode now. The realized prospect of all the incoming settlement/licensing cash should make that search fruitful. Couldn't hurt the PPS either.
