It is just an opinion but I believe when Samsung and Edig settled part of the settlement was that Samsung had to present to Edig their source code for review. Hence 30 days prior to settlement!

I think this for a simple reason. Edig wanted proof of the use of the patent to move forward on. Not to present Samsungs source code in court or to use against other infringers but just as a personal "Yeah were right they are using our IP" kinda warm fuzzy.

This is just an opinion and again remeber when DM asked the current infringers to answer the questions submitted on how they perform certain functions in hteir IP. I think these questions were created around and verified to be requested after reviwing Samsung source code.
