I used to follow them very closely............their Markman hearing a year or two ago went in their favor and there was a spike and many license signings. PTSC peaked just over $2/sh but then went right back down. They mismanaged investments in other technology and acquired a business that didn't work out and they are now trying to divest it at a big loss. Management seems to just glom on to the business and collect salaries while the legal partner does all the work and takes a big cut of the proceeds.
They are profitable, but their valuation is about $40M........heck, I would take that for EDIG right now, but I think it will require a favorable reexam and several more licenses to even sniff that level of market cap. Unless a salable product exists or management has shown a track record of savvy and successful investments of capital, the value attributed to the company by investors is little more than its cash in the bank...........no leverage.
