"The parties seek an extension not for delay, but to permit the parties an opportunity to
resolve Plaintiff’s claims without the need for further litigation. Accordingly, the parties
respectfully request that SanDisk’s time to respond to the Complaint be extended to January 7,
2013."
This looks like this will be a quick settlement and Sandisk would like to settle this without lengthy litigation.
eDigital will be negotiating an agreement with a decisive advantage and I am sure Handal will use this position to ensure a lengthy very profitable future licensing agreement for eDigital.
It may not be a buyout offer, but I think this settlement will take eDigital to a much higher level of financial compensation for previous infringements. eDigital wants Sandisk to continue to make money for them from licensing royalties
THE LINE IS NOW IN THE SAND - HANDAL IS NOT PLAYING
