There is one other board I participate on regularly, and admin there, not the MODS, delete any post where a reply gets personal, even in the slightest form.

Their rules insist the subject matter be about all things specific to EDIG itself and relevant to EDIG such as discussing actions by Handal, PACER docs and IPmetrics.

If I post there saying, "Handal is doing a far better job for us than DM ever did" and a reply says, "Joe, how can you say something like that? Prove to me that you are right." Chances and highly likely the post will get tossed.

It it not required to say IMO over there, where here it is expected because hyping and pumping comments are a rule violation, although we are not that picky if one leaves out IMO, because it is how the poster feels.

This board would be a better place if posters left personalities out of the equation and stick to discussing all things EDIG and relevant to EDIG, without the "in your face" style of responses.
