It's a matter of where, as you note, template(sampling data) are stored for compare processing. There can be countless templates created for countless uses, some simple some more involved.

Some of the templates are static, some will grow. Some require little processing some require more.

Sensors aside...For me, I see the phone, only because it's a versatile connected (WAN) network device, having other considerations such as(LAN)WiFI, or other RF transmission possibilities,......as a limited work station.

RAW data collected ....process...turn around results....some on the phone, some off the phone.

What's the big deal?

You have to understand what VoiceTimes was all about a dozen years ago and where things are now.

We know what e.Digitals abilities are technically, for me I see how it all fits and, .... it fit a dozen years ago.

Now that they have harnessed it, it turns into a big mystery.
