No lawyer here, but it looks like they are trying to piggyback as many cases as they can on the Early Neutral Evaluation that was held for Edig v.s. Pantech. Trying to get as many as will agree on the next round of documents that Edig is to produce in order to reach settlements. Some could agree to go along with the group, disagree completely, or agree with modifications to the Pantech document request. Those that agree with what Pantech is agreeing to must do so by Oct. 7. On or before Oct. 14, Edig must produce a settlement agreement for Pantech and those that agree with its wording or tell the court that Edig cannot produce the desired documents.

FWIW, at the SHM, when asked if he expected settlements between now and the Markman hearing in March, Handal said "yes".
