Agreed.

The question going forward is whether Nunchi can or will ever provide a significant on-going revenue stream to the company OUTSIDE OF lawsuits... which until proven otherwise will likely continue to result in small settlements that do nothing for shareholder value.

This is the first real news regarding Nunchi since the patents were granted... and it turns out to be another lawsuit rather than a licensing or partnership agreement. Not a good sign IMO. Yet they did a better job of explaining Nunchi and where it fits in this PR than they have before today. Go figure.

If this lawsuit results in this and several other companies coming forward to license Nunchi sooner than later, then maybe it's a good move. But I don't see why anyone would believe that e.Digital is any more serious about protecting Nunchi than Flash-R since they've already settled with so many other companies for so little.

Is Handal willing to take Dropcam to court to prove the Nunchi patents are valid and infringed? Is Handal willing to fight the inevitible USPTO IPRs along the way? This would take much effort and much time, but it would be better (for us) than just settling for practically nothing. Note that since Dropcam was bought by Google (for 555 million), it should be worth going the distance in this case to win. Note also that with Google involved, we would HAVE to go the full distance in order to win (big).

Interesting news but continued reliance on Handal and the slow court system for revenue is not what we need to see. If Nunchi has real value, then e.Digital should be able to license it without having to sue.
