I have a good friend who is a partner in 5 Chinese restaurants.

He has 2 kids, 16 & 10 who get the iPhone hand me downs from Mom & Dad.

Each and every time a new iPhone comes out he buys a pair and transfers the "old" to the kids.

What the heck does a 10 year old need an iPhone 5S for? Don't answer that...lol.

Each family member has their own Mac, iPad, iPad Mini...etc. A house full of AAPL, thousands of dollars worth.

When the 6 was announced to be coming out he ordered a pair to be shipped to his house. When he got the shipment notification, had his Wife make sure she was not leaving the house for a couple of days, wait for UPS to arrive, then Judy drove the phone to his primary restaurant and put it in the safe for him.

In his own words, "my whole family is addicted to Apple...it's an illness."

I said, I had a LG flip phone for 8 years, then a LG feature phone for 5, got a Samsung S4 two years ago and have no need for the 5, and I'll probably wait til the 7 before upgrading.

He said "Joe, how can you use old technology?" My reply, "I'm not addicted."
