USPTO Taps Ex-Micron Patent Exec As 2nd-In-Command

Law360, New York (March 26, 2015, 12:05 PM ET) -- The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Wednesday named Russell Slifer, the former chief patent counsel at Micron Technology Inc., to the position of deputy director, the second highest-ranking job at the Virginia headquartered agency.

USPTO Deputy Director Michelle K. Lee touted Slifer’s work in his most recent role as head of the agency’s satellite office in Denver, while highlighting his two decades of service as a patent law expert both as a corporate officer and private practitioner.
