I'll stick to my old school Z-wave enabled outlets and switches prefering a local or "closed" system. Yes, I'm a privacy nut and most consumers would drop kick a NEST thermo into the yard if they read privacy agreement and other BS outbound transmitting logs these IOT are and will be sending out about your lifestyle and consumption.

Now if EDIG made a cool little "IOT MicroSig Router" filtering and blocking all usage logs and unwanted mysterious meta uploads to Google/Apple marketing servers - I then might feel lazy enough on the couch and voice command lights on/off.

Cool stuff though. IMO, cooler would be a permisonable NUNCHI adapter to firewall the invasion of privacy. Anyone building this? - I'm in.
