Correct, he won't respond to the questions directly, you may or may not get a "Thank you for the email, Cheers Fred."

BUT, when the Q PR hits the street, look for any statements that address your questions, even if somewhat vague, or hints that shows you he is listening.

When I emailed him for a total of settlements to date, he did not acknowledge the email, but he answered the question via PR. I expect a revised total in the next PR.
