Ihank you for gathering and posting this. It clearly shows the disconnect between the ongoing high-level optism being expressed by the company and the sudden unexpected and unexplaqined filing of the Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. One item that stood out for me was Packer's use of the word "strategic" with inflection point. Is this this bankruptcy part of that strategy? Something that has been planned for a while, with a house-cleaning and a fresh start in mind?
What assets do we have other than patents? And what value do they have? Maybe a lot, but that value can only be realized by lengthy, time-consumining, expensive litigation--with an uncertain outcome. This is particularly true for the MicroSignet and Synap patents, potentially worth alot but untested in the courts. And that potential could take years to be realized. If these patents are sold to someone who understands their worth (Google? Apple? Intel?) as part of the Chapter 5, they could be huge game-changers for the the buyer and and could result in considerable one-time revenue for EDIG.
Could this be the "strategy," or did Packer, Springer, Cocumelli, and Warden just jump off a sinking ship? I think the former.
Here is a passage on Chapter 5's from Investopedia. It's more positive than some others I've seen:

Note the following:
A trustee is appointed to liquidate (sell) the company's assets, and the money is used to pay off debt". The investors, or creditors, who take the least risk are paid first.
