68,69,and 70....it was the caretakers home for the Vandebelt estate...they gave the beach and surrounding prop to the park. I enjoyed all the perks of the federal gov't that in 71, I became a Customs Security Officer (sky marshall) and worked out of NYC, but was out of the country most days or on TDY since I would do it....I traveled all over the world for three years on their dime....never spent a dollar of pay, it was all deposited in direct to the Bangor Saving Bank, I lived very well from per deim checks.

If any one is ever in the national park an early sunrise atop Cadilac mt is a must, if the weather is right it will be a sight you will never forget. Need to be on the top about 0500...may see a wedding taking place.
