That's a good one. Speaking of hotel rooms, here's an old one.

Three guys rented a hotel room for 30 bucks.......10 bucks apiece

After they left to go to the room, the clerk realized he made a mistake. He should have charged them only 25 bucks. He gave the bellhop the five dollars and told him to return it to the guests. On the way to the room, the bellhop tried to figure out how the 3 guys could split the money, evenly. He figured he would make it easy and make some money himself.

When he got to the room he gave the guys 27 dollars to split between them and kept 2 for himself.

Let's figure this out. Each of the guys wound up paying 9 dollars for the room. The bellhop kept 2 bucks. That's 29. What happened to the other dollar?
