James W. Kluber
Chief Executive Officer
James W. Kluber is Chief Executive Officer and has been the Chief Financial Officer of Firstgold Corp. since February 2000 and a director since April 2000. Mr. Kluber has served as a senior financial consultant in a variety of service and technology environments with special focus on high growth companies and restructuring operations. He has successfully raised capital for companies in a variety of markets, utilizing public and private equity as well as securitized and unsecured debt to accomplish funding requirements. Mr. Kluber has over 30 years of financial experience in both public accounting and the private sector.
Scott Dockter
Chief Operating Officer
Scott Dockter is Chief Operating Officer and has been the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman since December 2000. Mr. Dockter had previously served as Firstgold Corp.'s CEO and President from November 1996 until February 2000. He has held a Class A General Engineering and Contracting License for more than 20 years, operating his businesses in California, Nevada and Montana. Specializing in earth moving, mining and pipeline projects, Mr. Dockter has directed his companies in large landfill operations, underground concrete structures projects, large excavations and reclamation projects. He has worked on state and local municipal projects, oil & gas projects and has spent 15 years in the mining industry. He has personally owned mines, operated mines, constructed mine infrastructures (physical, production and process) and produced precious metals.
Stephen Tibbals
Mine Manager
Stephen R. Tibbals is the Mine Manager for the Relief Canyon
mine site. Mr. Tibbals has served as a mining engineer and mine manager for
several other mining companies during his 30+ year mining career. He has a B.S.
in Mining Engineering from Mackay School of Mines (University
of Nevada - Reno), and extensive knowledge of all aspects
of mining operations.
Stephen Akerfeldt
Chairman of the Board of Directors
Mr. Akerfeldt is Chairman of the Board of Directors and brings important experience to Firstgold and the Board of Directors. Mr. Akerfeldt is currently Chairman of the Board of Jura Energy Corporation (JEC: TSX), an Oil and Gas exploration company based in Calgary. Mr. Akerfeldt, a Chartered Accountant by training, has had a long and distinguished career including 22 years as a partner (15 years as a senior partner) with Coopers & Lybrand. He has also served as Vice Chairman and CFO of Magna International Inc, the most diversified automotive supplier in the world.
Terry Lynch
Director
Mr. Lynch has spent the last fifteen years operating start up companies in Industrial Products, (Pallet Pallet TSE) Oil & Gas (Pacific Tiger TSXV), and Media (Prolessons.com, McLellan Group). Now Mr. Lynch is a partner at Kingsmill Capital Partners a Toronto based merchant bank. Experienced in developing the unique financial structure that mitigates investor risk and maximizes the companies ability to secure growth capital Mr. Lynch has raised corporate capital via Debentures, Limited Partnerships, & Royalty Financing in addition to conventional equity placements. Mr. Lynch graduated in 1981 from St. Francis Xavier University with a joint honours degree in Economics and a BBA. He is a married father of four and lives in Oakville.
Donald "Bob" Heimler
Director
Mr. Heimler's career spanned 29 years with Scotia Capital Inc. (Scotia McLeod, McLeod Young Weir), as Director, Institutional Equities where he successfully managed several of the firm's largest clients by the time he retired in October 2006. Previous to that he was the Chief Accountant of a chain of optical stores under the corporate umbrella of Imperial Optical. He attended the University of Western Ontario, enrolled in the Certified General Accounting program and has successfully completed many investment industry accredited courses.
Fraser Berrill
Director
Fraser Berrill is currently the CEO and President of Renasant
Financial Partners, which is a financial services and technology
trading organization. He also serves as a Trustee of Vicwest Income
Fund and a number of private companies. From 1991 to 2000, Fraser was
Senior Vice-President, Corporate Development of Acklands Limited, which
sold its industrial distribution and auto parts assets to WW Grainger
and Carquest transforming into Morguard Corporation. Positions held
prior to that included Vice-President, Corporate Development Paja Group
and President of the Sherman group of companies. In addition, Mr. Berrill has received his Chartered Director designation from McMaster University and was a member of the litigation team for Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP from 1975 to 1981.
