Regarding #1...Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think Legend will present any new information on mineral resource estimates at end of this quarter. About half a billion is actually verified by reliable source. This is what I have noted down from the last conference:
-Legend has total of 7 mine deposits
-Historic unverified estimate for all 7: 1.33 billion tons of rock at a 15% quality cutoff
-Actual 2004 JORC verified for only 3 of the 7 deposits: 400 million tons of rock at 15% cutoff
-There is no JORC verified estimate for the other 4 deposits. Drilling results from these 4 sites will be forthcoming.
-The feasibility study being completed by Wengfu is only for 2 of the deposits (Paradise N&S). JORC verified estimate for these 2 sites are 81 million tons at 18% quality cutoff or 87 million tons at 15% quality cutoff.
Ps...My opinion is that China is desperate for agricultural resources. They need to secure this to avoid the types of rioting that has hit other countries with high food prices (see Mozambique riots last week...Imagine that violence multiplied by 1 billion). Also think back this last summer how Chinese worker protests resulted in 30%+ wage increases within weeks. This would be unheard of in the US or Europe. Unless Legend is completely incompetent they should be able to take advantage of the desperateness of China and secure a good deal.
