Some message postings - not so much here - come from those who are out to damage a company to the benefit of another. Where this happens, and where such posters can be found, they are guilty of the tort of interference. US courts don't look kindly upon such persons/companies, although these persons often and unreasonably feel safe posting on "anonymous" message boards.

The fact is, there is no anonymity given sufficient motivation from the searcher. If one doubts that, just look at the history of legal discoveries surrounding law suits, criminal and civil, coming out of doings at Ihub. I've posted about many of these, one just last week.

People can also be traced to a degree by the way they use grammar and spelling. For instance, Canadians are more likely to spell certain words differently than those raised in the US.

Anyone one can say anything on the Web and get away with it is not really true where one party has something to gain by attempts to damage another.
