Yards are for placer mines. This is hard rock where grade is more important than volume. 20-23 percent copper is 400-460 dollars per ton of ore. This means that the smallest of ore haulers could deliver gross values of $16,000 to $18,400 with each trip (pass) from the pit, larger machines up to 10 times that amount.

The interesting thing here is, where tonnage is available at or near the surface, haulers can make multiple the passes per day than can be had from the very deep open pit mines, meaning much earlier and greater cash flow by comparison (irrespective of the potentially very much higher grades here).

...potentially a Bonanza of Bonanza's, but let's see what's in those first holes.

P.S. Compariing Hay Mountain to the Copper Queen mine isn't giving full credit to the potential from Hay Mountain. Hay Mountain, if proven economic, should be a district scale project, while the Copper Queen and Lavender pit were essentially one operation, part of a disctrict generally known as Bisbee.
