Combining Classic Mineral Exploration with State of the Art Technology
Im no engineer either. In fact Im better at "de-fixing" things than fixing things. My tool box consists mostly of duct tape and bailing wire. But that thought crossed my mind as well, like a splint, drill down into the bed rock and brace the dam. But I dont have a clue if that would cause more damage than good or if thats even realistic. I have read people involved in building and/or designing the dam dont expect it to last 50 years, and its been there 15 so far I believe, because of shortcuts and inferior building materials. But like KO said, it seems it is likely that, without addressing the issue, the dam could be a factor in the future.
