Let me revise that statement in regards to Bingham Canyon.  JB's comparison to that ore body was in regards to the "footprint" of the porphyry only, and that was before the discovery of a possible near-surface copper skarn (aka carbonate-replacement deposit) on top of the suggested lower porphyry.  If drilling proves so, this will make Hay Mountain more like the Cooper Queen and unlike Bingham Canyon. 

Bear in mind that in the current environment, no one will be interested in a porphyry deposit, the top of which may be up to 5,000 feet deep.  However, a near-surface copper skarn, as was found at the Copper Queen, is another matter, especially if it has similar off-the-charts grades.
