Combining Classic Mineral Exploration with State of the Art Technology

For those who remember, JB here talked about "lines?" - I forgot the word - of oil deposits in a part of Mexico that extends into SE New Mexico and a sister deposit that extends into SE Arizona in Cochise County and possibly into the Hay Mountain area. He showed us maps of these deposits.

This morning, I read an online story about the relatively new oil production in SE New Mexico after I saw a story about it on TV this morning. Workers there think they have enough to last at least twenty years into rising demand for energy in North America. Here is the old story.

This raises the questions: How soon will we hear about oil drilling at or near Tombstone, and do mining claims include rights to file for all forms of extraction? If not, do the holders of mining claims have a first right to apply for other forms of extraction on their claims?

Does anyone here want to research oil leases in Cochise County? I don't have the time and don't know where to begin. Besides, I'm not interested in such an investment unless it is already part of an existing or prospective mine where I already hold stock.
