Multi-Billion Dollar Agreement Signed With Oman
This is a welcome and compelling analysis. You either are very savvy or do financial analysis professionally.
I've been researching "Book Value" and "Price/Book" since your earlier analysis and redoubled my effort after this most recent post.
Certainly, Price/Book is a fundamental measurement of a company and I'm not too proud to admit feel a bit foolish that I haven't previously taken time to understand its importance in stock buying and selling decisions.
I'm by know means an expert on this number but I've looked at a few companies to give me a point of reference:
Google, aka GOOG (Nasdaq, tech wallstreet darling), Price/Book (mrq): 3.99
Medbox, aka MDBX (OTC, prescription vending machines), Price/Book (mrq): 305.76
To further understand Price/Book, I downloaded a spreadsheet from yahoo finance of all companies in the Real Estate Development Industry, eliminated any company with market cap under $1MM and averaged the Price/Book for those remaining 240 companies.
Sector: Financial, Industry: Real Estate Development, Average Price/Book: 1.97
Here's the link to the list of all companies (http://biz.yahoo.com/p/449conameu.html). There's a button to download spreadsheet on the upper right hand corner of the page if you want to reproduce my results.
I certainly can't promise I will listen to anyone's advise but enjoy reading everyone's thoughts on this topic if anyone wants to share.
