Bill, you’re really an oldtimer… but there’s more. Before Alpha there was RIF (about 40 years ago). I was a business associate of Frank’s back then when we were both young. RIF was going gangbusters building real estate in Libya until Khadafy soured on the US. So the roots of this project really are in middle east real estate and Frank really knows this business. As for those who criticize his management, you don’t know what you are talking about. You would be hard pressed to find someone with the business acumen, vision, persistence and courage to match his. He actually faced down a belligerent and armed Khadafy Colonel in the RIF days. Evacuating his people from Libya when it became hostile parallels the story of Ross Perot in Iran. You couldn’t make this stuff up.

As for the current situation, it boggles the mind. I’m with mdb. I am a realistic pessimistic optimist. But there’s no one I’d rather have in charge and no one who better deserves success.
