Can you believe that Feb 5, 2011 this happened, and it has taken over 3 years to get this deal done. This lady really had great acomplishments as MOT. Had she still be living, this would have been done lone ago. I was just looking at MOT Oman, and her article came up. Frank knew her well.

How sad to learn that the Minister of Tourism, Her Excellency Dr. Rajiha bint Abdulamir bin Ali, passed away just this past Wednesday! She seemed so young and energetic, doing many great things to advance tourism in Oman and her death came as quite a shock to me when reading the paper. Is anyone else surprised? I am also quite surprised that more was not reported on this sad event. As someone who loves all things related to tourism in Oman and who tries to keep informed of news in the tourism field, I often saw Dr. Rajiha’s smiling face in many newspapers and magazines.
