VANCOUVER (Business Wire) -- Portrush Petroleum Corporation (TSX-V:PSH)(OTCBB:PRRPF)(http://www.portrushpetroleum.com) wishes to announce that drillinghas begun on the Scanio/Sheldon No.11 well in the Mission Riverproperty in Texas. The well will be drilled to a total depth of 8,700feet and is a follow up well to the number ten well that was recentlyplaced on production at a rate of 550,000 MCF and 21 barrels of oil aday.
The Company expects to drill the number twelve well upon thesuccessful completion of the number eleven. Both wells will be drilledto the Vicksburg formation.
Current production from the Mission River field is approximately1.6 million cubic feet of gas and 50 barrels of oil/condensate a day.Portrush's share of the revenue is approximately $60,000 per month.
Based on the success of the latest drilling the operator of theMission River project intends to review any further development of thefield as soon as these two wells are completed.
