Hi Tib.

Interesting post. Concerning the last paragraph of your post:

"If gold hits $1,000 anytime soon IMO it will be a short lived spike, much like it was in March. If gold is to rise in earnest it won't be for a while yet and there has to be a perfect storm."

I have to wonder when, not if, that perfect storm you spoke of will arrive and also what will be the ingredients that will be needed to insure its destiny. A world-wide financial disaster will of course play a major role. Below are some thoughts that are not just restricted to my opinion only. Please let me know if you or any forum member thinks I am 'out to lunch' with to heavy an emphasis on 'doom and gloom'. I think it is a very mild version of what is to come BUT as for the long range I am an absolute optimist. It is just that there is never any true lasting gain without a painful process first being involved. I do believe, that with respect to investments, that much of the commodities sector [metals market for sure] will do very well.

If 'everyone' in the world is printing paper currency as the United States is; and if 'everyone' is borrowing to allegedly pay down the debt from their own toxic paper product debacle; and if 'everyone' lossed trillions of dollars to that ash heap you spoke of Tib, then I have a question. How do the peoples of the world ever hope to be able to pay off the over one quadrillion [1000 trillion X 1000 trillion] that is now owed? In plain English they can't. So then what? IMO, a new deck will have to be dealt since you can't simply 'repair' the old one. Perhaps inflation might just be just the beginning of our concerns. Fortunes and power bases can change hands once again as they have in the past. In some cases they already have.

From what I have read, the Chinese Russians, Arabs and Indians have been accumulating and hoarding gold while the western world has been selling it. The Comex Market is being questioned as to its 'legitimaticy' [for the lack of a better word] and reportedly [don't know for sure] has been targeted for destruction by the Chinese and Russians. I do know that it in terms of bullion prices, is largely being ignored by the bullion dealers who are setting their prices way over spot.

I think if Sage Gold can keep getting financing in these present times of financial uncertainty, and if the company can continue to make some nice discoveries, [and hopefully even better ones] then we will not be counted amongst those 60% junior casualities that some NY analysts have prophesied about for the year of 2009.

Take care guys and gals,

Jerry
