When you consider that one party is a heap of trouble, on the brink of annihilation, and waving around $3.5 million dollars, one can easily see how this "marriage of convenience" came about.
On the bright side, since there is no PP in this new found capital ( only more share dilution) there is also the absence of warrants, and options, and the silly games that get played with the SP by the lending institution's cohorts. Lend the money,skim profit on the way up, then short the stock, buy it back at lower prices. Can't really get too much lower, now can it? ( hope I'm not tempting fate).
May only be by happy accident that Kinross, through no fault of their own, ended up in Puma's losing proposition only to wash up on Sage's golden shores, but you can bet they won't bob around aimlessly like a golfball in the ocean...they will be maximizing their opportunites. I just don't know what that means for the shareholders...
