Finally, Barrick is starting to join in the M&A activity. The 7.3 billion offer they made for Equinox shows their cash position. This may be just a ploy to bring others to the table for Equinox. If not, I am not sure if Barrick could stay in the list of possible buyers of us after making this purchase.
