There is a consensus that the way SLI in general and Lori in particular have done things could be different. The emphasis being that many shareholders want more frequent updates.
I think that compiling significant information and then releasing a substantial package is the better way to go. The best example of which was last year's Technical Report, 43-101 compliant by Paul Grey. The Report nicely and completely summarized the phase 1 exploration program including all sampling, the Titan surveys, and newly acquired surrounding claims.
The way I see it, we are awaiting a summary of the phase 2 exploration including but not limited to trenching and drilling. I believe McElhanney is on board for this very reason.
I further believe that given the SP stability of the last 3 months in turbulent economic times demonstrates that the greater market has priced us correctly with a longer term view that is appropriate for mine development. The minor spike and decline of the last two weeks is just a blip of exuberance caused by the anticipation of news preceding the AGM.
Given the forgoing, I think that when news is released the market will re-price SLI. Again there will be a spike and dip as the pendulum swings too far and settles. But I believe we will have a solid peg to which our price will be tied once a comprehensive update on Tesoro comes out.
I think I prefer this to several smaller run-ups and declines that would accompany a stream of minor NRs.
There are investors and traders. I think SLI has the goods to confidently invest in. My investment has grown and there is certainly more upside potential balanced against risk when playing juniors. Traders just want to see SP volatility. Whether up or down doesn't matter, witness the short article. It says the very opposite of the The Ubika Gold 50 - An Index of promising junior gold exploration companies: ... . It is like the line in a song that says, "Both of then say they're Jesus. One of them's gotta be wrong."
For me, I prefer the consolidated NRs. I can do without the up today, down tomorrow as I think we would with an endless series of small NRs.
