I found some new info of the general area where the Tesoro lies. As we said before, info in this region on any mine or properties is very hard to obtain and when you do, its very limited.
I have found a little bit of info about a mine named Pallarniyocc. I believe that Dynacor may own this property now. Anyways, there is a brief description and has a couple interesting things in the link provided. It lies approx 18 km north north east of Zona Canchete and appears to have an average grade of gold around 18 g/t out of 3 veins.
The importance of this to me is that the grade is right in range with all the other mines in the general area, a 15-18 g/t average gold grade of mined material. The other important thing is that this link speaks of the host rock, diorite.
"Geology. Ore has been delineated along three sub-parallel narrow veins enclosed by diorites."
The info above is from 1994, I wish I could get some more up to date info on this property, it may help us with some Tesoro mysteries.
