Kerson, you may have hit the nail on the head: Are we talking about the old shares or cancelling them and issuing new ones?
It's been 5 years since this stock traded. Most investors have gone to their original investment institution to have SLI stocks taken off of their personal trading list to use as a tax right off and also so they won't be charged monthly administration for holding those shares. In turn, these same shares can not be resold so they must be taken off of SLI's outstanding shares list. Once this is done, this person can no longer claim to be a shareholder.
Since most have done this, Lori has full authorization to do as she pleases with or without the approval of people who were once shareholders. Also there is no longer a need for share consolidation because shareholders have already done this for her.
