good afternoon GBaron: A cool fresh lemonade in the patio? You asked --> if the Tayopa treasure is to be found would you hazard a guess of its value in todays terms.

I have no actual idea, except that the data that I have from the Jesuits (?) states 610 mule loads of Gold Bars and 1200 bars of Silver, among other things.
A mule in that country prob. can carry 200 lbs, I would suggest that they are Dore bars prob running about 60% Au average. The silver bars would be about the same. As for the other things mentioned, I can not even guess.
Remember they were storing this to finance a revolution.
Secondary thing, this operation is being done on a 'handshake', no contract could provide actual protection. A "Go for Broke" operation, however even if I lose it all, I still have two others, besides Tayopa, to fall back on.
Life "CAN" be fun GBaron.
