Great Verse from Kipling!
A Little further east but the sun is thundering up now with a Vast Red sky, well I enjoy my morning Tea as the sun rises.
Yes what a paradise Kipling must have seen here in the 18th-19th Century.
Elephants still log the forests but not much forest left!
But they do mine Gold here and other Gems. They save and trade Gold just like we in the west use paper & Plastic from the banks.
When the fields produce a very good crop they do need a little paper to pay for their days ahead but also buy gold to save for the hard times; they also wear their Gold trinkets (97% pure) and then sell them in the hard times for food or shelter.
The people do shine with smiles even though to me sometimes there is nothing in their poor lives to smile about but they are very content and keep smiling :-))
I use to travel to Mexico alot and the Caribean but now I have found the real Paradise with the rising red skys to the BIG RED sun setting.
But Jim & Gary please hurry and dig those trenches, sample them soils and find some richer ore to feed our mill so I can continue to live in this paradise!
Cheers
from paradise, hope some of u can join me for a cup of tea or beer (bottles are twice our size...:-)) if u like on my veranda over looking the swaying trees in the cool breeze!
Cheers
