I don't disagree with you one bit.  I'm not looking at the reason why, more just focussing on it's affect.  The mark to market on the existing positions just got more expensive and for those averaging up and rolling out it's going to hit them in the pocket book.  The only reason I posted the link was to show the size of the short position, his thoughts on it bringing the mkt down etc is all nonsense in my opinion.
