As you can see, I did a very poor job by using the English to Dutch translator on the internet.

So, I'll answer a couple of the questions in English and I will try not to be tempted to use a foreign language translator program again.

The reason that the oil and gas companies are leaving Alberta is because of the uncertain economic climate in Alberta. For example, two of the large companies had long-term royalty agreements with the Provincial Government in Alberta. The Alberta Government put pressure on those 2 companies to renegotiate the agreements in place which resulted in the companies paying increased royalties from what they had previously negotiated.

So other companies may feel that the Alberta Government may make unpredictable changes to royalties in the future.

Also, I understand that the Provincial royalties in both Saskatchewan and British Columbia are now lower than they are in Alberta.

In Canada, there are 10 Provinces and 3 territories. They all have Provincial or Territorial governments that can levy Provincial or Territorial taxes, in addition to what the Federal Government levies.

Both Saskatchewan and British Columbia are the neighboring Provinces to Alberta.

So in Canada, a company would pay taxes to both the Federal Government and a Provincial Government. At this time, it would appear that the Alberta Government is taxing the oil and gas companies more than Saskatchewan is.

So oil companies are looking to move some of their business outside of Alberta.
