It is my understanding that the trans-Siberian railway in Russia (some 3000 miles) is all electrified. Our (North American) existing networks are not close to doing this.

I believe that we (US/Canadians) need to get serious about how our resources, be they oil, gas, Baaken or sand, can be moved to market.

Pipelines are preferable, to the South or West as can best be done.

Integrating Connacher's and other producer's product into a secure stream to

our own markets is, I think, the best system we can work towards.
