I'm pretty cheap too... I waited 2 hrs in a ferry lineup to save the $20 reservation fee LOL!

PLEASE believe me when I say you should be paying the $20 for a reservation instead of waiting two hours. That's the same as valuing your time at $10 per hour, and, from what I've gathered reading your posts specifically, your time is worth significantly more than $10 per hour.

You can always make another $20, but you will never get that two hours back. There's just no point in wasting time waiting in line for such a small return.
