The Negen deal is a $15B energy deal that may or may not be a strategic national interest of Canada and USA. Lot's of pros and cons for this being allowed to go thru.

In comparison...CUU may be a $1-2 B deal for a single, unbuilt mine of base metals. In addition, I doubt Teck will give/allow CIC to take a majority position.

The two deals don't compare in terms of national interests.
