Since the Arizona properties need much more exploration they could be used for a future JV with Teck and/or BHP/Freeport. I doubt the major's would want to purchase properties that they will have to drill, produce a RE, then BFS. It makes sense for CUU to be bought out for SC (plus surrounding lands) then set up a JV with a major to explore AZ.

Its a great bargaining chip. If Teck plays hardball with a buyout price, then CUU goes to BHP to purchase SC, and set up a JV in their backyard in AZ. Easy Breezy...
