CUU own 25% Schaft Creek: proven/probable min. reserves/940.8m tonnes = 0.27% copper, 0.19 g/t gold, 0.018% moly and 1.72 g/t silver containing: 5.6b lbs copper, 5.8m ounces gold, 363.5m lbs moly and 51.7m ounces silver; (Recoverable CuEq 0.46%)
This work was started in 2010, but the most interesting part of it is, the FS was completed for a 130,000 ton/day mine with a duration of 21 years. the EA in progress is for 150,000 ton/day operation with a mine life of 15 yrs minimum.
If CUU had made those changes, or had submitted this application, they were obliged to notify the shareholders. Teck must have submitted this application since becoming the operator.
This is very good news, IMO, and indicates Teck is actively moving Schaft Creek to a mine.
Many thanks YM for all your good work......chunky
