CUU own 25% Schaft Creek: proven/probable min. reserves/940.8m tonnes = 0.27% copper, 0.19 g/t gold, 0.018% moly and 1.72 g/t silver containing: 5.6b lbs copper, 5.8m ounces gold, 363.5m lbs moly and 51.7m ounces silver; (Recoverable CuEq 0.46%)
I go out of my way to avoid looking at my investment account value. I know it is only a tiny fraction of what it once was but I don't want to see exactly how little is left in my margin, TFSA and RRSP accounts. It's sheer torment.
The way I look at it, after I first bought CUU shares in August 2010 and then quickly added more and more, Copper Fox took me to the top of a mountain (thankfully it wasn't Mount Polley).
Then CUU gradually led me all the way back down the mountain. I could have bowed out anytime along the way but I believed it was a temporary detour.
While I awaited the next ascent, water started creeping up to my ankles, then my knees. Next thing, I was waist-deep in water. I was really freaking out when I was submerged up to my eyeballs.
Now, I'm so far below the surface I can barely tell which way is up. So even if the tide rises even further, it makes little difference for now.
Like all tides, this one will turn. I'd sure like it to be soon -- the JV meeting sounds like a prime opportunity -- because I'm really getting tired of holding my breath.
