You need to factor COVID and inflation. $4.7B in 2018 is not the same today.

Teck didn't have enough data regarding SC to even consider it as an alternative to QB2. Shame on them for dragging their feets. They could have spent $20M on SC 10 years ago. Pocket change for them. Worst part is that out management accepted that.
