In digging a little bit more about these trucks that VZ ordered in Belarus it looks like they are for Bauxite in VZ.

Belarus, Venezuela to set up BelAZ haulers assembling company

MINSK, 18 October (BelTA) – A joint Belarusian-Venezuelan company to assemble BelAZ haulers is planned to be established in Venezuela, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez told BelTA, as he toured of the BelAZ company.

"We are set to create a joint rock haulers assembling company, Ven-BelAZ," said Hugo Chavez. He specified that the joint company will be located in Caracas.

The Venezuelan President paid a visit to the BelAZ assembly hall and went for a ride on the most powerful hauler with the capacity of 360 tonnes.

Hugo Chavez said that at the moment Venezuela needs about 120 rock haulers as it plans to increase the bauxites extraction by 50%.

BelAZ Director General Piotr Parkhomchik informed the Venezuelan President that the Belarusian company has produced more than 130,000 haulers (much more than the Caterpillar company) since it was established. Belarus manufactures more than 500 hauler modifications.

Founded in September 1948, Belarusian Autoworks was re-incorporated as an open joint-stock company BelAZ in 2010. The company's lineup is dominated by rock haulers, frontal wheel loaders and bulldozers, tow trucks, special vehicles for underground operations, heavy payload trucks for metallurgy industry and other specialized technological vehicles. The carrying capacity of BelAZ trucks varies from 30 to 360 tonnes. Belarusian Autoworks occupies one third of the world's rock haulers market and is one of the world's seven largest manufacturers of quarry vehicles along with Komatsu-Dresser, Euclid-Hitachi, Caterpillar, Liebherr, Terex, and Kress.
