Crystallex International Corporation is a Canadian-based gold company with a successful record of developing and operating gold mines in Venezuela and elsewhere in South America
I don't see that there is any pressure on the Chinese to do anything. They are patient and can wait it out. The proposed deal with Crystallex obviously required a permit from Venezuela and access to the CVG contract from Crystallex.
Venezuela didn't provide the permit and KRY no longer has the contract so there can be no deal.
Some here seem to think that the Chinese have some obligation to support KRY in their arbitraration efforts. Why would they do that? It would only annoy the Venezuelans and would do nothing to improve their chances to eventual access to LC.
Did anyone here advocate KRY helping out Vannessa or Placer Dome in their fight with the Venezuelan government for compensation when the LC property was still subject to negotiation before KRY was awarded the contract? No? I didn't think so....
