Isheppard- I think both you and Teutracker bring up valid points. However, Chavez can settle at any time prior to a final judgement by the arbitration panel cant he? So in essence he has YEARS to figure out what he wants to do and who the players will be.

I think a Chinese deal that buys us off is the best he will ever do but with the elections around the corner he may not look at it in the same light. One of the problems we all have is the application of logic when none exists.

Plain and simple Chavez may see the gold as being for ONLY the Venezuelan people Chávez and Co. and say thank you China but no thanks. He may also think by the time we get to any settlement his gold investment (still in the ground) will have doubled in value. Who knows really what he thinks? The bottom line is for KRY to announce secured financing to go the distance imo.
